Daniel Farrell Obituary

Daniel "Dan" James Farrell, 76, died on March 19, 2025 with his family at his side. Dan was a lifelong resident of the Manchester, NH area and recently retired to Gulf Shores, Alabama.

He was born on November 17, 1948 and was the eldest child of Mildred "Bunny" Farrell and Henry "Chic' Farrell. He was a 1966 graduate of Bishop Bradley High School in Manchester, NH. Before his retirement, Dan spent many years as an auto parts branch manager and later transitioned into medical billing.

In his younger years, Dan was an accomplished guitarist, touring with several different rock bands along the east coast. Dan was a classic rock enthusiast and very much enjoyed watching tv and movies with his wife, Denise. He also enjoyed trivia, had a passion as a home chef, and was a world traveller, with Ireland and Cabo San Lucas among his favorite places to visit.

Dan is survived by his wife and best friend of forty-five years, Denise L. Farrell (Tremblay) of Manchester, NH and his daughter, Michelle L. Pasha of Gulf Shores, AL; his sisters, Mary Farrell of Bow, NH, and Maureen Farrell of Prescott Valley, AZ; his eight grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Kaylila, Courtney, Jackson, Sarah, Ahmed, and Kaden; his sister-in-law, Diane Dore and her husband, Ray Dore and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his youngest sister, Jane Farrell South, and his daughter, Diane M. Littlewood (Vanasse).

A Celebration of Life BBQ for family and friends will be held at the campground where he and Denise spent the past few summers: Pinehirst RV Resort & Campground, Old Orchard Beach, Maine, on May 18, 2025 at 1:00pm. My condolences to Dan's family and friends. My mother, Susan Farrell Clement, always spoke highly of him. I got to know him a bit when he and
I both worked in auto parts together.
I'm sorry to hear of his passing, and I hope that he and my Mom will be reaqauinted again in Heaven. May his family and friends find peace at this sorrowful time.

OH Dan, we spent many years playing music together and you were such a great talent. My memories are so positive and you even helped babysit my children when we were in Oleo Strut together! You should have been an English Teacher but that's the students loss not yours. You've helped me in many ways after the band days all you could and I thank you for that. I'm so sorry to hear of your passing may you Play Again in Peace, Love you Danny Boy, you big lug.

Dan was a great friend of mine after I graduated High School and began working at Goffstown Auto Parts in 1975. He taught me so much and I always remembered his great handwriting and ability to problem solve in our industry. Thinking back now he was 26 years old and I was 18 years old... crazy how time flies. Another fond memory was attending his many performances with the Oleo-Strut band. (he snuck me into a few UNH performances in those early years) He sure could strum a tune with the band. Rest in peace my friend, you have accomplished much in your live. Jim Beauchemin
