David Horning Obituary

Kingston - David T. Horning, 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Feb. 7 2015. He was born in Haverhill, Mass., Dec. 26, 1936. He graduated from Haverhill High School and Haverhill Trade School in 1954. An Army veteran with eight years of service to his country, he met his wife Ruth while stationed in Germany. A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Horning of Kingston; his son, Mike Horning of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter Patricia Giuffrida and her husband, Joe of Methuen, Mass.; and a son Dan Horning and his wife, Sylvie of Chester. He was a loving Bumpa to five grandchildren, Joe, Jennifer, Jeff, Joe and Jessie, as well as a great Bumpa to four great-grandchildren. Always there to crack a joke or lend a helping hand he will be missed by family and friends.
