Dawn Barron Obituary

Dawn Barron, 71, of Plaistow, N.H., passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, in Portsmouth, N.H.

Born Jan. 21, 1954, she was the daughter of Donald and Gertrude (Brown) Barron. Her final days were filled with love and surrounded by those who cherished her most.

Dawn was raised in Salem, N.H., graduated from Salem High School and attended Rittners School of Floral Design. Her work interests were rooted in the retail and food service industries. Dawn enjoyed the culinary arts, hosting social events and entertaining her family and friends. She resided in Salem, Glen and Plaistow, N.H., and enjoyed the mountains, seacoast and Cape Cod.

Dawn is survived by her aunt, Carroll Brown Simpson; brother, Tennant Barron and his wife, Sarah (Sally); niece, Courtney Barron Miller and her husband, Erik; niece, Carrie Barron and her partner, Ryan Abood; sister-in-law, Shirley Barron and her partner, James Rogers; great-nieces, Ryleigh Cunane and Tegan Cunnane; and great-nephews, Brady Cunnane and Bennett Miller; and many beloved cousins and devoted friends.

Dawn is predeceased by her brother, Atty. Bruce Barron.

Dawn's legacy lives in the hearts of her relatives and friends who loved her. She will be missed and lovingly remembered. Her family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Edgewood Center and Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care.

No services were held per Dawn's wishes. Family and friends honored Dawn's life at her Celebration of Life event.

My sister Barbara (aka Barbarella Dawn´s nickname for my sister) and Dawn met at August Max. We became wonderful friends. Dawn, I am very sad to hear of your passing. I have wonderful memories of North Conway and your annual October annual open house. Thank you for the memories and your friendship.
