Deborah Maloney-Methot Obituary

Deborah S. Maloney-Methot, 62, of Manchester, NH, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2024, at her winter home in New Port Richey, FL. Born on June 2, 1962, in Manchester, she was the daughter of Bernard and Patricia (Cook) Maloney. Deborah will be remembered as a strong-willed individual who inspired those around her with her kindness and determination. Although she sometimes struggled to express her affection, her strength and unwavering spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Deborah earned a degree in business and showed remarkable resilience throughout her career. She held several short-term positions before dedicating ten years to working as a machine operator. Over her 27 years at Velcro USA Inc., she ultimately rose to the position of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) technician. This role highlighted her dedication to her work, even as she faced health challenges that eventually led to her early retirement.

Deborah's passions included music, camping, puzzles, word games, and watching her daily news broadcast. She was particularly fond of the cherished M*A*S*H* series. Her seasonal homes in Weare, NH, and New Port Richey, FL, were places where she created joyful memories as a snowbird.

As a devoted single mother, she raised three sons and found profound love with Denis Methot. They cherished 18 years together, nearly 12 of which were spent in marriage after marrying in St. Lucia on December 12, 2012.

In addition to her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her sister, Catherine (Cathy) Trimble, and several family members. Her three sons survive her: Joshua DeNapoli, his wife Chantel, and their two sons, Cameron and Evan, of Weare, NH; Michael DeNapoli, his wife Valerie, and their son, Julian, of Greenville, NH; and Jeremy DeNapoli and his fiancée, Crystal Davis, of Manchester, NH. Her brother, Bernard (Skip) Maloney III, a nephew, Michael Maloney, and several other family members also carry her legacy forward.

Deborah will be laid to rest in Bedford, NH, at St. Joseph's Cemetery, where most of her family have been or will be laid to rest. McHugh Funeral Home (Dignity Memorial) will handle the arrangements. At the family's request, there will be no calling hours or services, but private services will be planned for spring to honor her remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Deb and I work together for many years. When a memory that sticks out is that we ran the same type of equipment and we would challenge each other to see who would do the most yards of product in a day. We would laugh and sneak a cup of coffee that was brewing in a small closet. We knew this was off limits but we did it anyway. Deb will be missed. Rest in peace my friend .
