Doreen Cline Obituary

Danbury - Doreen J. (DiBella) Cline, 54, died unexpected yet peacefully on Jan. 4, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 28, 1960, in New Hyde Park, N.Y.Doreen spent her early years in Queens, N.Y., attending Catholic schools and then graduating from Martin Van Buren High School. She worked at The Flying Goose Pub in New London for close to 10 years as a waitress among other fine restaurants and was a talented seamstress. Doreen lived in Danbury for the past 27 years, spent summers on her boat with the family on the seacoast and also was an owner and the backbone of Gary's Auto. An astute businesswoman, she was a devoted and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was so proud of the way her children developed into fine young men. Doreen was a wonderful cook, loved to dance and was someone her family and friends could always confide in. She was so proud to live in Danbury and felt confident that her town would care for her. Recently, because of an illness and arm injury, she spent time with her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Michelle, and was so happy that they could help her regain her strength.Members of her family surviving include her parents, Daniel Anthony and Lucy (Petriella) DiBella of Brooksville, Fla.; her husband of 33 years, Jon Gary Cline Sr. of Danbury; three sons, Paul and his wife, Michelle of Wilmot, Jon Jr. and his significant other, Jennifer Tucker of Bristol, and Daniel of Danbury; three granddaughters, Ava, Bella and Violet; a sister and her husband, Debra and Vincent Calcaterra of Commack, N.Y., and a nephew, Justin. The family sends special thanks to Wilmot Police Chief, David White, the Wilmot F.A.S.T.
