Doris Brassard Obituary

DERRY - Doris T. Brassard, 92, died April 24, 2011, in Parkland Medical Center.

She was born on July 5, 1918, in Albany, Vt., to Eugene and Minnie (Perrault) Tetreault.

Over the years, she worked in Derry at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Canteen during World War II, the Plaza Theatre and the Miss Lynch Shop, prior to retiring from Ames Department Store.

After retirement, she spent 14 years at Kings Point in Sun City Center, Fla.

Mrs. Brassard was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry, where she was a member of the Tabernacle Society and the Phil Lessard Chapter of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

IN HER LIFE: She is survived by one daughter, Paula Curtis of Sun City Center, Fla.; three sons, Paul Brassard and his wife Paula of Londonderry, Peter Brassard Sr.

and his wife Susan of Derry and Mark Brassard and his wife Julie of Derry; five grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren (she was anxiously awaiting the birth of her seventh great-granddaughter); several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, John L. Brassard, who died in 1993. The Brassard family would like to extend their thanks to all the staff at Parkland Medical Center and Amedisys Hospice.

SERVICES: Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Cremation will follow.

Private graveside services will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas School, 3 Moody St., Derry 03038, or to Amedisys Hospice, 1E Commons Drive, Suite 33, Londonderry 03053.
