Edmond H. Bruist

BEDFORD - Edmond "Eddie" Hubert Bruist passed away peacefully on Aug. 2, 2014, at the Arbors in Bedford at the age of 92. He was born May 30, 1922.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anke, a current resident of Bentley Commons in Bedford. He will be greatly missed by his three children, Michael, Roger and Alice, their spouses, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Eddie was born in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and immigrated with his wife to the United States in 1952. He became a U.S. citizen in 1971. He was an excellent petroleum engineer with Shell Oil for 37 years and enjoyed photography and cultivating orchids.Eddie will be fondly remembered by everybody. There will be no services or formal memorial. Donations in his name may be made to the organization Doctors Without Borders.
