Edward Zelonis Obituary

MANCHESTER - Edward J. Zelonis, 82, died June 23, 2011, at Bedford Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.

He was born on July 5, 1928, in Tewksbury, Mass., to William and Antonia (Alex) Zelonis. He was educated in the Tewksbury school system and entered the U.S. Navy in 1946.

Mr. Zelonis worked many years in quality control before retiring from Lockhead Sanders in 1988.

He enjoyed watching televised sports, boating and fishing. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all.

IN HIS LIFE: Family members include two sons, Donald Zelonis and his wife Claire, Larry Zelonis and his wife Diane, all of Manchester; a daughter, Linda Boily and her husband Brian of Hooksett; two grandchildren, Amy Chickering and Lindsay Boily; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis (Taylor) Zelonis; and by four brothers, Vincent, John, Richard and Stanley; and by two sisters, Ann Maselunas and Helen Nader.

SERVICES: Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Marie Church, 290 Notre Dame Ave., Saturday at noon. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road. To the Zelonis family.. I am deeply saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. I was able to meet him a few days before he passed, and found him to be a sweet & at peace gentleman. God be with all of you durin this sad and emotional time.
