Frances Tinsch Obituary

Frances L. (Richardson) Tinsch, 98, of Bedford, a former longtime resident of Merrimack, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, after a period of declining health.

She was born in Salem on June 22, 1918, a daughter of the late Clarence and Marguerite (Cretegny) Richardson.

Frances graduated from Woodbury High School in Salem, N.H., and also McIntosh Business School in Lawrence, Mass.

Before retirement, she was employed at the former Doehla Greeting Card Co. in Nashua for 21 years. She had previously worked at Methuen National Bank, Bay State Merchants and the Salem Co-op Bank.

She was a resident of Salem, N.H., before moving to Merrimack in 1955.

Frances had been a member of the First Congregational Church and the Merrimack Senior Citizens. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, knitting, and getting together with family and relatives.

She is the widow of William Tinsch, who died in 1995, and also was predeceased by a grandson, Jason Tinsch; two sisters, Thyra VanDine and Jessie Hill; and a sister-in-law, Doris Partington.

Members of her family include two sons, William Tinsch and his wife, Carrolyn, of Riverton, Utah, and David Tinsch and Frankie Carter of Merrimack; three grandchildren, Jennifer Madsen, Kelli Hansen, and Stacie Tinsch; seven great-grandchildren, Chelsie Madsen, Joshua Allen, Kyson and Kodi Hansen, Amelia Rose Stevens, and Kelley and Baily Madsen, several nieces and nephews, and Frankie's son and his wife, Chris and Becky Carter, and their three sons, Jacob, Brian, and Trevor.

Calling hours will be held in the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy., Merrimack, N.H., Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
