Frank Pelczarski Obituary

Frank Pelczarski, 83, passed away suddenly on Nov. 27, 2025 in Englewood. Florida.

Frank was born in Manchester, N.H., eldest son of Adolph and Martha (LaFlamme) Pelczarski. He joined the N.H. National Guard in 1972 and held several prominent positions, retiring with the honor of sergeant first class in 2002. He was a drummer in the 39th Army Band for several years, marching in annual holiday parades and representing our nation at various patriotic functions.

Frank loved to make a difference within his community and consequently also held several high-ranking positions within community organizations, such as being the commander at American Legion Post #79 and adjutant at Sweeney Post #2 in Manchester. He was a member of St. Joseph's Society through St. Hedwig's Parish, providing valuable services to parishioners, including awarding scholarships to deserving college applicants. He volunteered to run bingo games at the Manchester V.A. Medical Center and local nursing homes.

He was also a member of Catholic War Veterans, ensuring that deceased veterans receive the honor they justly deserve by placing flags at their eternal resting places annually every Memorial Day. He was eager to serve his community and his country whenever presented with the opportunity to do so.

However, Frank's true passion was spending quality time with his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy. They spent the last 20+ years traveling to Florida during the winter months and making many friends at their second home in Fiddler's Green. They loved to travel together, ranging from their favorite destination of the beaches of Hawaii to the historical significance of Dachau, Germany. He treasured Sunday family dinners and would never arrive without treats for the dogs, even if that meant detouring to a store before arriving if he forgot to load up his pockets before leaving home.

He loved catching up with his grandchildren and reveling in their academic, personal, professional and emotional achievements. No man could be prouder of his grandchildren than Frank. He loved God, his country and his family with a fierceness that was both admirable and envied. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; their daughters, Lisa (husband, Michael) Sullivan and Lori (husband, Greg) Lavallee and his grandchildren: Steven, Kaelyn and Shaye Sullivan (fiancé, Ben Kfoury); Adyson and Avery Lavallee; and Ricky Pelczarski. He is also survived by his brothers, John (wife, Joanne) Pelczarski and Tom (wife, Carol) Pelczarski, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Tracy, in 2006.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday Dec, 13, at 10 a.m., at St. Hedwigs Parish, 147 Walnut St., Manchester, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund in honor of his granddaughter, whose successful treatment there was a source of profound gratitude. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via jimmyfund.org/gift.
