Gary Clark Obituary

Gary Lee Clark, 84, of Merrimack NH, passed away on Sunday, May 25th, 2025 at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH after a period of declining health.

Born April 11th, 1941, and raised in Roseburg, OR, he was the son of the late Roy and Ruth (Haley) Clark. He received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Washington and received his Masters degree in Systems Management from University of Southern California.

He served in the United States Navy Reserve from 1958 to 1961 when he was honorably discharged. He was an engineer with Lockheed Martin receiving several distinctions on his satellite work before leaving to pursue his passion for the outdoors. He was the President and co-owner of Northern Bass Supply in Brentwood, NH for many years, as well as the author of the beloved "Clark's New Hampshire Fishing Guide", first published in 1984. In his spare time, he was an avid Red Sox fan, bass angler, and proud husband, father and grandfather.

Gary will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 48 years, Julia (Sakano) Clark; two sons, Roy Clark of WA and Shawn Clark of CA; a daughter, Jennifer (and her husband Chris) Williams of IL; granddaughters Layla and Poppy; sister Mona Rae Plyler and many other members of his extended family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services.
