Guy Beauchemin Obituary

Guy N. Beauchemin (96), born November 5, 1928, in Montreal, Canada, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at home in Hooksett, New Hampshire, surrounded by his loving family. Guy had a wonderful life with his wife, Therese (Piche) Beauchemin, who was introduced through family friends and would later meet by chance at a block party in Montreal under the light of a lamppost; the true start of their relationship still talked about to this day. Their beautiful marriage of 72 years is a testament to the strength of their love and a textbook example of what a partnership should be. They were best friends and inseparable until the very end.

Guy immigrated to Manchester's west side in 1962 for a better life for himself and his family. Guy worked in the Chicopee Mills eventually moving on to Sanders Machine Shop for most of his earning years. After retirement, Guy joined Therese in a new venture of owning their own business, Guy & I Ceramics, for over 30 years, located on the West Side of Manchester.

As a couple, anyone who met Guy became fast friends with him and his wife. He was a natural jokester who loved to make people laugh, and he approached life with a kindness that resonated with everyone around him. To his wife and children, who were the joy of his life, he is fondly remembered for recording all the family gatherings, from Therese's tap dance performances to each family gathering, and proudly playing them over and over for everyone to enjoy. Guy & Therese also enjoyed hosting and bringing their extended family from Canada together at their cherished home.

Guy was a proud father to six children: Lucie (Denis) Cronin, Daniel (Erica) Beauchemin, Carole (Marquis Roy) Pilotti, Line (Lawrence) Comeau, Nancy (Peter) Gosselin, and the late Diane Cote. A devoted grandfather, he is survived by grandchildren David (Alysa) Cronin, Daniel (Rachel) Cronin, Joseph (Brittany) Cronin, Christopher (Lacy) Beauchemin, Stephanie (Jorge) Villalobos, Eddie (Thea) Ross, Alicia Pilotti, Nicole Pilotti, Patrick (Natalie) Donahue, Therese (Michael) Susienka, Katelyn (Adam Denoncour) Comeau, Lindsey (Ryan Smith) Comeau, Danielle (Anthony) Muir, Angela (Ben) Hester, and Rebecca Ann Gosselin, along with 25 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium in Manchester, NH, beginning at 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will take place later that day at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

Terry:

I'm sorry to hear about Guy. I lived across the street from you at Medford Farms and remember all the videos Guy took for the shows. He always had a smile and enjoyed showing the results. I even attended your 50th anniversary party.

Dear Nancy and Family,
We are sorry to hear of your Dads passing. I spoke with Shawnna this morning and she shared how nice your dad was. She always enjoyed seeing both you Mom and Dad when she was visiting at your house.
He sounds like a wonderful man and I'm sure a wonderful Dad.
Take Care,
Mary & Izzy Flores
