Dad, I know it has been a while since I wrote in the legacy, but I do think of you daily, thank you for watching out for Travis that dark morning, He remembered seeing an angel helping him. he has a long road ahead of him and hopefully walking soon. He has been set back but hopefully within the year, he will be back to himself.

October 8, 2009

Although its been some time since you left, your presense still seems to be around, I'm sure you are making everyone laugh up there, I sure do miss it down here. I wish you had spent just alittle more time with each of your kids and really try to make them understand what it was that you expected from them after you were gone, maybe one day they will figure it out, I know we probably never said it, but thanks for everything you ever did for us, I know it was hard.

Hi Uncle.... Thoughts of you during the holidays.... I visited with aunt Linda and Bill, She sure had the place looking nice and as usual the decorations - yes, and she said it were only a few! LOL you weren't there but sure seemed as if you was, your dog made himself cozy on my lap - they are sweet! and holly is still her sociable self and just as cute as ever! Your son sent us home with one of your treasures.... It was so nice of him to do! even had your custom paint finish! He is very thoughtful and think that runs in the family! it worked like a charm too!i will think of both of you when it snows and am ever so thankful!:) I know xmas is hard for the ones left behind but you seem close?, weird huh? I loved hearing your voice when i called your home..... and them dollhouses! WOWwww , anyhow we won't go there! hope your kids are taking care of their mom and all getting along as she needs them and you would want that too> Mom went to vist Uncle stan and i would like to visit him soon, you are in our thoughts and fondest memories of you keep coming back - you are another shining star in heaven, spending the holidays with gram & gramps again,i sure hope your keeping them in line! miss you Uncle......~Sheila

To the Rollins Family. I know Herk was a spectacular family member. He was a great Dad, Husband, Neighbor, Friend to anyone who touched his life. I was always amazed by his humor and the way he could make anyone chuckle. The last time I saw him he said What u had to go all the way to Florida to find a husband. Thats the humor I will miss. I loved to hear him whistle. He will be deeply missed by my family and I. My thoughts and prayers to you all... Love little Alice

Our guiding angel,

To have us for and watch us grow,

a period of pain grew upon us all,

to take our hands and help us through,

the promises, the headache, anger, guilt, blame the fault - for the man who suffered through.

He was a master link to the Rollin's name, he was my best friend, the best helper, a critic, a joker, and a teacher who taught me well.

He is my father. And will always remain.

To watch you strong, it's hard for me, but no one can change you, and no one should.

Through this time, not just for me, I want everyone to know your my mother, my life, our family's soul. You will never walk alone, paths will cross, roads will be longer. Just remember from the four of us as part of direction, we have been told, for you and only you - we must care.

your job will never be done, we will always need you.

From as deep as I can go-

I love you.

dad,

thank you for all you have done for me, learning to take back my parts to my car when one of my brothers would take for their car, not sure which one, but you would say stop your wining and take it back, getting me out of a crunch when i accidentally burn the motor oil out of Norris' new lawn mower and didn't know what type to use, won't ever forget how you carried me to surgery as a little girl instead of being wheeled down by strangers. bowling with you as father and daughter team, sorry I couldn't get high scores though, but will never forget THUNDERSTORMS, when thunderstorms would roll through, I would hop on the phone and let you know IT's GONNA BE A GOOD ONE DAD, and you would walk out to the METAL swing set and sit and watch. so when t'storms come, I will look up at you and know your there. I will miss you stopping by my job just to say a quick hello. you have taught us to work hard, be tough and I thank you for that. I will miss you dearly, and when Timmy whistles, I will be reminded of you. love your daughter, Kelly
