James Bugenhagen Obituary

NASHUA -- James D. Bugenhagen, 56, died April 23, 2010, at home after a brief illness.

He was born in Lockport, N.Y., July 5, 1953, to Raymond and Mary (Connor) Bugenhagen.of Nashua. He grew up in Lockport, N.Y., and was a graduate of Lockport High School, in 1971. He resided in Londonderry for several years before moving to Nashua. He had been employed as a driver with Eastern Propane & Oil of Hudson for more than 20 years.

He loved his family and friends and will be remembered for doing kind things for others. He enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, playing his guitar, was an avid New England Patriots fan and loved animals, especially his dog Maggie.

Besides his parents, family members include his wife of 14 years, Jenny (Harris) Bugenhagen of Nashua; three children, James D. Bugenhagen Jr. of Londonderry, Michael J. Bugenhagen of Loganville, Ga. and Katie M. Bugenhagen of McDonough, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Michelle Stover of New Zealand; three grandchildren; four sisters Molly Fachko of Lancaster, N.Y., and Judy Mack, Maureen Connolly and Laurie Bugenhagen, all of Lockport, N.Y.; two nieces; a nephew; and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held at Farwell Funeral Home, 18 Lock St., Nashua, Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Jude Church, 435 Mammoth Road in Londonderry, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to gather at the church. Following cremation, interment will be private.

Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, New Hampshire Office, One Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105, Bedford 03110.

Jimmy "Bug",is a great friend who I really enjoied catching back up with after a long time, and will trully miss. The most important thing to him was his family and we always had time to laugh and listen to each others stories. The prayers and thoughts from my entire family go out to Jim's family.
