Jamie Palmer Obituary

Jamie B. Palmer (Larkin), passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2025, at 11:40 AM at her home with loved ones by her side.

Born on April 5, 1961, Jamie was the daughter of the late Richard J. Larkin and Grace Larkin Tibbo (Nowell). In 1969, Jamie was blessed with a second Dad, the late Robert Tibbo. She was a lifelong resident of Goffstown, NH, a community she embraced. Jamie was a graduate of Goffstown High in 1979 and married Allan Palmer in 1985.

A fiercely dedicated wife and mother to her two boys, Jamie's family was paramount to her life. She was a baseball and hockey mom who spent many a day running the grill at the Little League and Babe Ruth fields. Always with a house and car full of kids, Jamie enjoyed the commotion of caring for her family and friends. Together with her many siblings, she loved family gatherings where she was eager to organize and man the kitchen. A flare for kindness and a caregiver at heart, Jamie was devoted to helping others, especially the elderly and the ill. Early in life she enjoyed camping at Goose Rocks Beach and Hermit Island, later the solitude of the sun deck at Palmer Island. Little Ollie was the light of her life in her final years.

Jamie worked a variety of jobs in retail and real estate where she so enjoyed her interaction with the many people she helped and the special coworkers she shared her life with over the years. But it was as a housewife and running a home daycare that she was most proud, where she was able to again touch the lives of young children. Jamie's love for life, compassion, and laughter will be missed by many. Although gone too soon, she will live on in all of us in many ways, in baking pies, in a sunset on the lake, in a Van Morrison song.

Jamie is survived by her husband, her two sons Alan and Riley, his wife Morgan, and grandson Oliver; sisters Sally Adams and Paul, Joan Dunbar, Mary Foye, Kathleen Beauchemin and Tom, Patricia Bourque and Dan, Kelly Soucy and Ron, Susan Soucy and Steve; brothers Richard Larkin, Robert Tibbo and Nicole; father-in-law Alan Palmer; brothers-in-law Craig Slattum and Mark Todd; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Maureen Slattum and Leslie Belanger Todd; mother-in-law Lillian Palmer; and brothers-in-law Gary Foye and Wayne Palmer.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 20, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at French and Rising Funeral Home at 17 S. Mast Road, Goffstown. Funeral service with Father David officiating will be held on Monday, July 21, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Shirley Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please strongly consider a donation to Turning the Tide Ovarian Cancer Retreat at https://www.turningthetideovariancancerretreats.org/donate. Jamie loved it.

To The Palmer Family my deepest sympathy on your loss. Jamie was a loving, kin and involved Mom who thought her Son's hung the moon. I will always remember our morning meetings at Bartlett Elementary and the dedication you demonstrated for your kids.

My sympathies and prayers to Alan and family. I met Jamie & Alan & kids during my years umpiring Goffstown Jr. Baseball games. She was a tireless volunteer that loved helping out at games. She will be greatly missed by ALL that had the privilege of knowing her.
