Janet Urguhart Arroyo

Janet Urquhart Arroyo, 74, of Manchester, died unexpectedly on August 25, 2025, at Boston Medical Center.

Born in Goffstown, she was the daughter of the late James and Marjorie (Reynolds) Urquhart. She was deeply loved and raised by her late grandparents, Minnie and Theodore Reynolds. Janet attended Villa Augustina School and worked for many years for Osram Sylvania.

Janet enjoyed baking, playing bingo, tabs with her daughters, games on her phone and watching movies, especially on Tubi. Janet was extremely determined and strong willed. She had a spark and fire about her like no one else. She had a kind soul and a huge heart and spending time with her family was what brought her the most happiness. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Janet was predeceased by her son, Michael Arroyo in 1972.

Family includes two daughters, Anna Cadena of TX and Jennifer Barrientos and partner Alex Cooper of Manchester ; two sons, Hector Arroyo and Shaun Arroyo of Manchester, NH; three siblings, Sandra Ramirez of Manchester, James Shipley and wife Ellie of Raymond, and Ruth Mason and husband John of Hampton; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
