Janet Savoie Obituary
Janet grew up in Manchester, N.H. She completed schooling at St. Joseph Grammar School, St. Joseph School for Girls, the Moore General Hospital for Nursing, N.H. Votech Association in Nursing, and attended St. Anselm College. Janet worked as a registered nurse for many years at Vencor Corporation and Exeter Hospital. She had lived in Amesbury for the past 20 years, was a former 20-year resident in Hampton, N.H., and had traveled around the country earlier as a military wife.
Janet was a communicant of Holy Family Parish (formerly known as St. Joseph Church) in Amesbury, where she also taught CCD classes and worked in the office. She was a communicant at St. Michael Church in Exeter, N.H., where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Janet was a volunteer for Our Neighbor's Table in Amesbury, was a member of the 3rd Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, was a Bluebird leader in Sunnyvale, Calif., and a Cub Scout leader, Troop 777 in Hampton, N.H. In her spare time, Janet enjoyed doing ceramics, cross-stitching, knitting and genealogy.
She is survived by three daughters, Darla Suleski, Louise Pierce and her husband, Norman Pierce, and Margaret Flanders and her husband, Herbert W. Flanders Jr.; two sons, Paul Savoie and John Savoie and his wife, Cindy Savoie; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, N.H. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 9 Sparhawk St., Amesbury. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Manchester, N.H. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Building No. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
