Jean Keenan Obituary
Born in Grasmere on June 29, 1959, she was raised in Merrimack with her large family. She lived with her family in Amherst for the past 20 years.
Jean traveled the world while accompanying her husband Mark Keenan during his U.S. Air Force career.
Jean had a notable and diverse work career. She worked for the State Department in the U.S. Mission to NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Later, she served as the Brussels American Community Youth Director. Jean loved children and coached many sports throughout her life. She worked the past 18 years for Connection as a presidential sales account manager. Colleagues and friends at Connection were Jean's work family. Jean was well loved and respected by all at Connection.
Family members include her husband of 44 years, Mark Keenan of Amherst; her sons, Shawn and Ryan Keenan; four grandchildren, Sean, MacKenzie, Ian and Aiden; her daughters-in-law, Jessica and Icel.
In addition, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pollock of Merrimack and is survived by seven siblings, Sharon Varney of Merrimack, Stephen Pollock and wife Tamara Pollock of Merrimack, Joan O'Neil of Merrimack, Bruce Pollock of Glencliff, David Pollock and Cindy Douglas of Merrimack, Carol Miner and husband Ronald Miner of Merrimack, and William Pollock and Sonja Worthen of Keene; and nieces and nephews.
Jean's biggest contribution to all was her caring and loving nature that was a gift. She had an infectious smile, friendly nature that always lit up the room. She loved her family and friends with no bounds always caring for others.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 27, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jean Babe - The original Doll Face. I still can't believe your gone. Working remotely, I had no knowledge of your illness until a few days before your passing. As I reflect on all the years we worked together, I especially remember us bringing in craft projects that we shared in the row when no one was looking. I remember laughing so hard we couldn't concentrate on anything. Your larger-than-life smile, passion, dedication and love for family and friends will always be remembered. I picture you in heaven telling God to take a rest because you've got this now. I'll always smile when I think of you, you were just that kind of person that made everyone smile. Jean was a very special lady...she showed up and showed us how to make each day special. I will miss her positive attitude, open heart and welcoming smile. We talked about Newfound Lake a lot, and I'm sure her spirit will always be there when her family gathers. Your family are in my prayers.

I learned this evening that Jean passed away. I am sorry that I missed her wake and the ability to give my condolences in person. Jean was my childhood and high school friend. An exceptional athlete and
Great student. Boy ,could she throw a softball. We all played basketball together also. We learned so much about winning and losing but most important to be loyal teammates. The Pollock family is welcoming and their home was a great place to go as a teenager. Jean smile and warm generous personality made her an instant friend.
The last time I saw her a few years ago it was like we never skipped a decade.

My heart was broken when I heard that Jean was gravely Ill. We were co-workers and friends for 15 years. Jean and I were part of the infamous popcorn break group. I will always miss her friendship, passion and caring. My deepest sympathies to Mark, her sons and the rest of her family and friends.

Jean was one of the most generous and thoughtful people I know. Although we never met in person, her infectious personality and smile permeated the room right through the telephone line! I knew she was smiling! Never complained and always cared about the well-being of others. The short while I knew Jean she spread love and light making all those around her happy. Jean was always loud - in the best way. She greeted everybody with a smile and a "Babe !" or "Dollface". I worked for her for about two years and every morning I would look up from my computer to see her smile and bag of vegetables she had chosen to eat that morning, and to share with Nick Souris. I remember back in 03 I brought my 2 year old son in to meet the work family and she came up and said hello right away and took his hand and walked away to show him all the vendor toys she had on her desk. We shared the same love of music and only told me a few times I sounded terrible when I started singing : - ) I will miss her.

Jean was my inspiration daily at work saying don't give up! When I needed bowlers to help raise money for our annual bowling competition for Charity, Jean showed up with her bowling ball and bought everyone French Fries.
