I have many happy, funny memories of our brother Jack, or 'Zip'. One that comes to mind is when on a dare, he ran across Walker Street after it had just been paved. After he tripped and fell in the tar, our mom---(who didn't often show anger but when she did, we paid attention) made him strip down to his underwear in the yard so she could hose him down--for all to see. By the end, they were both laughing hysterically & so were all the neighborhood kids. A memory I'll never forget. I miss them both <3

I miss so much about you, Jack. Your humor, your birthday calls, your daffy duck, your love for family, your resilience, your Elvis, your service, your perfect penmanship, your generosity, and humility. Thank you for the gift of your children. You'd be so proud of them.

My father's deepest joy was the happiness of others. His last words to me was the question "Are you happy?"
He was strong, tender, protective, funny and always led with his heart.
Please leave a memory for us all to enjoy
