Joe helped my dad, Harry Treem many times. My dad really liked him and he didn't like too many people. I only met him a few times, but he seemed like a nice man and he will be missed. My condolences to the family..Thank you Joe for all the kindness you showed my dad.

Joe will be missed by all whom he touched and guided. Greeting us with a warm smile, a friendly quip, a sincere inquiry about Seth (a former protege), and the rest of the family, and often a reminisced story about Sam his long ago favorite golden, Joe has left a legacy to us. Out prayers to Connie and all the Stone family.

Deerfield has been so very fortunate to have had Joe Stone as a part of it's fabric for so many years. Joe was a "giver". He gave so much to so many. He was a great friend and was highly respected by all. He will be missed so much. Rest in Peace Joe.

I had the great fortune to meet Joe when I was very young, while struggling to learn to round the bases in a slightly less awkward manner. Joe not only taught me the finer points of America’s pastime, he also mentored me in those most impressionable years of my life. He was a great man, lived a virtuous life, and will be sorely missed. The world is a better place for having had him a part of it. Play on, Joe.

Joe went to Hanover High and Clark School with my Father, Malcolm A. MacDonald, and my Uncle, William A. MacDonald who are also in the HHS Hall of Fame. I met him when we had the testimonal dinner for Coach Branch when he retired who I also played for. I know he'll be missed by a lot of fine people as I knew his Brother Ricard and his family very well.

Our prayers are with the Stone Family. His smile and warm greetings will be sorely missed. He was an outstanding coach and example for our son. He would always inquire as to how Marc was doing in his Air Force career and wished him the best during his deployments. Deerfield and NH will miss him.
