Joyce A. Cronin

CONCORD - Joyce A. Cronin, 62, of Suncook Road, died Jan. 6, 2010, at Concord Hospital.

She was born in Concord on March 4, 1947, to Russell G. Sr. and Ruby (Hilliard) Boutwell. She grew up in Warner before moving to Meredith.

She was a graduate of Inter-Lakes High School and the former Gunstock Junior College. She was a resident of Everett, Mass., for more than 30 years, and Milford, Mass., for 10 years. She was employed for more than 25 years at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, retiring in 2004.

She enjoyed collecting miniature clocks and brass Christmas ornaments, and was an avid researcher of genealogy, member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society, and lifetime member of the Museum of Fine Arts.

IN HER LIFE: She is survived by two children, Jennifer L. Cronin of Littleton, Mass., and John A. Cronin of Lafayette, Ind.; a brother, Russell G. Boutwell Jr., and his wife, June, of Belmont; three sisters, Janet R. Shaw of Campton, Judith A. Horne and her husband, Francis, of Moultonborough, and Audrey L. Calley and her husband, James, of Sandwich; numerous cousins and childhood friend Joanne Bagley of Concord.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Boutwell, and a sister, Katherine Boutwell.

SERVICES: There are no visiting hours.

A memorial service will be held in the spring. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to American Diabetes Association, N.H. Processing Center, 249 Canal St., Manchester 03101. The Waters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
