Lise Guillemette Obituary

PENACOOK - Lise Emma (Gauthier) Guillemette, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at John H. Whitaker Place, Penacook, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 8, 1935 in St.-Gedeon, Lac-St.-Jean, PQ, she is the daughter of the late Alfred and Marie Anna (Dallaire) Gauthier. Lise attended Grammar School in Canada. In 1948, the Gauthier family relocated to Manchester where she attended St. Anthony's School. Lise married the love of her life, the late Richard Guillemette on October 1, 1960 at Sacred Heart Church. The young couple settled in Manchester to raise their beautiful family. A loving mother and homemaker, Lise held a variety of positions throughout the years at Pandora, Daven, and Tam O'Shanter.

A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Lise's family was paramount in her life. She cherished time spent with her family and dear friends. A devout Christian, her Catholic Faith brought her great comfort and strength. Lise was a communicant of Ste. Therese Church in Manchester for 43 years, St. Peter Church in Auburn for 10 years, and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Concord for 3 years. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Sodality at Ste. Therese Church and St. Peter Church as well as a Faith Formation teacher at Ste. Therese. A kind and humble woman, Lise volunteered as a teacher's aide at Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson and at local soup kitchens and food pantries. In her younger years, Lise was the Den Mother of Cub Scouts Pack 106. Lise will be best remembered for her generous heart and love of family.

Lise is survived by her daughter, Denise Mainusch and her husband Joseph of Boscawen, NH; 3 sons, Marc Guillemette and his wife Leza of Watertown, MA, Dr. Roger Guillemette and his wife Kathleen of St. Louis, MO and Robert Guillemette and his wife Cameo of Los Angeles, CA; 5 grandchildren, Maddie, Ellie, Lucy and Sam Guillemette and Elisabeth Mainusch; sister, Rita Pinard of Manchester; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Lise was predeceased by her husband, Richard Guillemette, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage, and her brother, Frank Gauthier.

SERVICES: Her Visitation will be held in the St. Catherine Catholic Church, Hemlock St., Manchester on Saturday, March 24 from 9:00 to 11:00A.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00A.M. Committal Prayers to follow in the mausoleum chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. The family extends their deepest appreciation to the staff and friends at John H. Whitaker Place for their unwavering care and comfort. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Lise's memory to the activity fund in her name at John H. Whitaker Place, 30 Borough Rd., Penacook, NH 03303.
