Lucie Garrett Obituary
PLAISTOW - Lucie C. (Mailloux) Garrett, 54, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Magog, Quebec, Canada, she was raised in Manchester and was a member of the Manchester Memorial High School class of 1973. She furthered her education at Northern Essex Community College.
She was employed as an administrative accountant at Northeast Seminars of Hampstead and previously was employed in the accounting department of Finelle Cosmetics Co.
A resident of Plaistow for the past 23 years and member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Mrs. Garrett was a devoted mother to her son and was an assistant soccer coach and was also active with the Timberlane Youth Hockey Association.
Survivors include her husband Mark A. Garrett; a son, Anthony G. Garrett of Plaistow; her parents, Gerald and Dorothee (Dupis) Mailloux of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three brothers, Guy C. Mailloux of Manchester, Line R. Gardner of Manchester and Luc R. Mailloux of Hillsborough; two sisters, Doris M. Harmon of Nashua and Ruth L. Davis of Manchester; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow. Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow.

Lucie, you were an unbelievable mother and friend. You raised Anthony to be an amazing young man. I hope to do half as good a job with my boys as you did. I will miss our long walks, where we solved the world's problems. I always knew I would have a good laugh with you. Right to the end you had such strength and kept your sense of humor. I am a better person because I had you for a friend. I will miss you so much.

I read Lucie's obituary in the paper. I knew Lucie & Doris from Raytheon. Haven't been in contact for a long time, Lucie was a very nice person. I am very deeply saddened that you have lost Lucie. Cherish the memories. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the calling hours as I work 2nd shift. Take Care.

Lucie has always made herself available when you needed her. She worked hard all her life,always made time for family and friends. We were more then just sisters, we were bestfriends. I will miss Lucie's laugh, hugs and silly jokes. Lucie was a thoughtful, caring person. a devoted mother who loved her son very much. I love you Lucie and always will. I am so grateful that I was able to be there for you. You will be in my heart forever.

dear lucie,
you were the nicest mom ever. we shared very great moments together. remember raking the lawn for 20 dollars and me and anthony barly did aything and you still gave it to us, and wrestlemania when we were screaming when we wanted someone too win. thank you for being the nicest person to me ever. thanks for taking me to most of are basebaball games when my parents couldnt make it. i will miss you forever. you were the nicest mother ever. thank you for all the good times.

Lucie, you dealt with that ugly disease, cancer with the same courage, strength and grace as you have raising Anthony. Lucie, you showed the same strength, courage and Grace fighting that ugly disease, cancer, that you have right along raising Anthony. Even when you were weak, you made sure you went to every football game, be damned your condition or weather, to be there for Anthony. Love you, miss you, rest now.
