Mrs. Marcelle J. (Guertin) Chevrette, 91, of Allenstown, passed away at the Holy Cross Health Center in Manchester on June 21, 2024 after a period of declining health.
Born in Hooksett, Marcelle was the daughter of the late Nelson and Ida (Duhaime) Guertin. She was raised and educated in Suncook and resided here her entire life.
Prior to her retirement in 1991, Marcelle was employed as an assembler for Baxter Auto Syringe Division. In earlier years, she worked in the local textile industry, including the Pandora Mill and Manchester Coat.
She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Parish in Allenstown and was a member of the St. Therese Rosebush Society. She enjoyed shopping with her sister and daughters and especially cherished being with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Marcel R. Chevrette and her siblings: Aline Guertin, George Guertin, Jeanne Guertin and Maurice Guertin.
Marcelle is survived by her two daughters: Diane Adinolfo and her husband Ron and Donna Gryval and her husband Jeff all of Allenstown; her grandchildren, Jonathan Adinolfo and his wife Brandi, Bonnie Hosey and her husband Greg, Thomas Gryval and his wife Valerie and Christen Jordan and her husband Brian; and her great grandchildren, Aidan, Avery, Parker, Lucas, Blake, Natalie and Charlotte. She is also survived by two brothers: Roger Guertin of Manchester and Leo Guertin of Hooksett as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Marcelle's faithful friends and relatives who visited her regularly and the staff at Holy Cross Health Center, who provided exceptional care and compassion.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, June 25th from 5 to 7 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 26th at 10 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
