Margaret Desilets Obituary

Margaret A. Desilets "Peggy", 78, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2021 at her home in Raymond, NH. She was born February 18, 1942 in Cambridge, MA., daughter of the late Thomas A. Joyce and Abbie (Lee) Joyce.

Just before she turned 2, she moved to Lawrence, MA. The whole Family moved to Amesbury, MA. in 1955. She attended St. Joseph School for 8th grade, and Amesbury High School, Graduating Class of 1960.

In 1969 she married Norman C. Desilets.

Peggy lived in Raymond, NH from 1969-1982, and then moved to Manchester, NH from 1982-1996 then moved back to Raymond, NH from 1996-2021. Peggy was a dedicated Mom, Friend, Nana and Worker throughout her life. She was Employed by Raytheon in Manchester, NH from 1978-1994 as an electromechanical inspector.

From 1994-1996 with Osram Sylvania in Manchester, NH as a line assembler.

From 1996-2004 with Data Electronics in Salem, NH as a quality control inspector, and lastly with Fireeye Inc. in 2004. Throughout those years she earned numerous Certificates of Completion to keep up with her necessary training.

Peggy was also a breast cancer survivor and was a devoted member of the Raymond Area Lioness Club where she served as their President from 1975-1978.

Peggy's hobbies include being a second mom to all, cooking and she loved the home shopping network. In addition to being a mother and a second mom, she didn't know a stranger; her door was always open to friends and family alike.

Peggy (Ma) was the type of person who would give the shirt off her back without being asked. She never had inkling to say no to either one of her kids unless it was in their best interest. She will be known to all of us as an Angel, big hearted, and the most loving woman and the greatest Blessing we could have ever asked for. She was a woman of gracious beauty, elegant and eloquent, but was never extravagant except for the love she had for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Jean Joyce, and Norman's mother with whom she was very close with, Luie W. Morse "Meme".

Peggy is survived by her son, Tadd M. Desilets, daughter and son-in-law, Tammy L. Desilets Picard-Greenwood and Jessie, 1 granddaughter, Diana R. Jones, 1 great-granddaughter, Jaylan "JJ", a brother and sister-in-law, Ned and Gerrie Joyce and their children, Tommy and Ronalee. Her cousin Barbara (Lee) Caux and her four children, David, Donna, Deena, and Doug. Extended family includes Jason and Stephanie Biron, and their children Tyler, Madisyn and Mysti, and various other extended families.
