Marion Gordon Obituary

PITTSFIELD - Marion A. (Letendre) Gordon, 49, died Dec. 1, 2011, at home on Tilton Hill Road, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born on April 30, 1962, in Manchester, the daughter of the late Maurice Letendre and Elaine (LaForge) Letendre of Pittsfield.

Marion graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1980 and was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in the Concord office, delivering to Bow.

She was a resident of Pittsfield for the past 23 years and enjoyed gardening and reading.

Most of all, however, Marion loved motorcycles in general and riding her Harley specifically.

Marion is survived by her husband of 25 years, Philip "Sparky" Gordon of Pittsfield; two children, Hannah Gordon and Philip Gordon III, both of Pittsfield; a brother, Michael Letendre of Manchester; two sisters, Suzanne Miller of Grafton and Kristie Long of North Carolina; a half-sister, Patty Simpson of Montana; nieces and nephews, and her special friend, her dog Jack. Marion was predeceased by a daughter, Kelly, in 1987.

i was never fortunate enough to share marions friendship( outside) of work but on a daily basis we did share time & laughter. my only regret is that i dont have anymore time with her to do the things that i should have. she was the most honorable, respectable person i have ever known and i MISS HER EVERY MINUTE OF THE DAY....she was truly a GIFT FROM HEAVEN put here on earth to touch us all, and she did! my condolences to her family who must miss her dearly, i cant imagine......to me life without marion is like not having air to breathe...my heart truly aches with pain from her loss .. i will try to go on with all the fond memories i have of her..... sleep peacefully marion...til we meet again....... sjb....

Marion, I will always remember your smile and your laughter! Your stories of family and your big trip! May you rest in peace and be free from all pain! Know I will always remember you and your laughter. I pray for your family to be strong during this very difficult time.

It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
... the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again.

Rest in peace my friend. You were a great partner in crime when we were young and I will always cherish the memories, especially those that involve us driving around and singing at the top of our lungs. Condolences to your family.

Marion you will be missed. You were one of the best carriers the Postal Service has ever had. You did your work and then went home to take care of your family. Your love you had for others radiated. At this time I am keeping your Family in Prayer. My deepest sympathy goes out to those you left behind. Denise Archambault
