Merrylyn Hunter Obituary
GOFFSTOWN - Merrylyn (Farthing) Hunter, 71, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at home.
She was born on March 11, 1945, in Ludington, Mich., the daughter of Ernest Farthing and Margret Farthing.
She was the wife of Jay Hunter. They were married on Sept 11, 1963, in Cecil Fields, Fla.
She attended Mount Morris in Ludington, Mich., Ft. Myers High School, Fort Myers, Fla., and Edison Community College.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved playing Texas Hold'em and taking trips to the Oxford Casino with her husband, Jay. You could usually find her watching her favorite TV show, ""Bones.""
She was predeceased by sisters Dorothy Nevins, Margo Cross, and Joan.
She is survived by sons David Hunter of Goffstown and Jason Hunter and daughter-in-law Marianne of Elkhorn, Wisc.; daughter Vickylyn Keefe of Dover; grandchildren Alex, Zachary, Amanda, Morgan and Jake; nephews Lincoln Heafield of Weare and Mark Nevins of Naples, Fla.; nieces Debi Nevins-Johnson of Naples, Fla., and Peggy-Joe, Linda and Kim of Michigan.

SERVICES: Visitation will be 6-8 p.m.,Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017, at the New Hampshire Veterans' Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway,Boscawen, with Rev. S. Lavoie officiating. Celebration of Merrylyn's life will follow after funeral service at the residence of Jay Hunter, 114 Elm St., Goffstown, NH 03045.

Dave, Jason and Vickilyn, sorry for your loss. The reality of mortality is a crazy thing. I remember spending so much time with your family and your mom got me thru a lot of stuff while my mom and brother were hospitalized way back when. She's a great lady and her smile always made it better..just wanted to let you know your mom had a beautiful soul and made a difference in my life..take care

Jay, David, Jason, VickiLyn and families, I'm so very sorry to hear of Merrylyn's passing she was a great friend of mine for many years and we certainly had some good times together. MerryLyn was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be with all of you as you have your wonderful memories, along with her living on in her children and grandchildren.
