Muriel Gagne Obituary

Muriel B. Gagne, 88, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Manchester, NH on July 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Fernando and Noelle (Clement) Pinard.

Muriel grew up on the West side of Manchester and was a graduate of St. George's High School. In 1957 she married the love of her life, Lucien Gagne. The couple were married exactly 65 years, to-the-day, when Lucien predeceased Muriel.

Muriel worked at Bell Telephone until the couple started a family, at which time she devoted herself to motherhood and taking care of her family. She spent countless hours at her boys' activities and eventually her grandkids' sports, music and dance recitals.

Following Lucien's retirement, the couple spent time in Moultonborough, NH and Jupiter, FL. Her favorite times were always those spent with her family.

A devout Roman Catholic, Muriel lived her faith and often put others' needs above her own. She was a long-time parishioner of St. John the Baptist and then St. Hedwig Parish. She was a strong supporter of NH Catholic Charities, Mercy Home for Boys & Girls and the Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers.

Special thanks to the staff at RiverWoods Manchester and Brookhaven Hospice for their love and support.

Predeceased by her husband Lucien, Muriel is survived by four sons: Charles and his wife Janice, Thomas and his wife Wendy, James and his wife Monique, Jeffrey and his wife Kami; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:30am at St. Hedwig Parish, 147 Walnut St., Manchester. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
