Norman Trudeau Obituary

Norman Trudeau, 89, of Bedford, New Hampshire, died peacefully on Sept. 14, 2022.

He was born Jan. 22, 1933 to Louis and Hélene Trudeau in Barre, Vermont. He served two years in the U.S. Army.

In 1957, he married Claire (Moulton) Trudeau. Norm attended Northeastern University, receiving his BA in physics in 1962 and his MS in electro-optics in 1968. He was a manager in R&D of electro-optics at Kollsman in Merrimack, New Hampshire, for 19 years. He was Scoutmaster for Tewksbury Troop 49 and a communicant of St. William's Church and Our Lady of Mercy in Merrimack, New Hampshire. In retirement, he counseled New Hampshire small business owners for SCORE and helped the elderly prepare their taxes.

Norm was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren and was active and resourceful to the end.

He is survived by his children, Susanne, Juliette, Jennifer, and William Trudeau and wife JoLynn, 13 grandchildren, and his devoted companion, Anita Turner. He is predeceased by sons Steven, Douglas and Thomas.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 30, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, Mass. His funeral procession will begin on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury, Mass. Interment of his ashes will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Boy Scout Troop 49 and mailed to St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury, MA 01876. For obituary see www.farmeranddee.com
