Oswald Martel Obituary
Butch Martel was a loving father and grandfather and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sister Theresa Moriarty; brother Frank Martel; two sons Scott and Kevin; daughter in-law Andrea; and his beloved grandchildren Jake, Cassidie and Brookelynne.
Services: Calling hours will be Friday, July 22, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Goodwin Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 607 Chestnut St, Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 567 Manchester Road Auburn, NH. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester, NH. Please visit www.goodwinfh.com to sign the online guest book.

Oswald Martel was my best friend as youngsters. We played every day from morning until the street lights came on, just about. He had a fit when I won all his marbles so I gave them back. He laughed and smiled most all the time. Back then we made our own fun without TV. Played war, hide and seek, baseball, outs, puppet shows. Oh, how I made him laugh. We played and never fought. Then, they were the only ones that purchased a television. What a hoot! Only had a few shows but I almost became a resident. I truly loved his whole family as my own. His mom was so very sweet. Butch was too. His sister had the sweetest voice as she rocked and sang to her baby, Robert. I cried when they moved but happy for them at the same time. I miss you my family, I love you all and Francis. Sleep with the angels.

To Kevin, Andrea, Jake and Cassidie,
Kevin I am so sorry for the passiing of your dad, but so lucky that I had the chance to really get to know him. He was quite the man who loved his kids and grandchildren. I will remember the stories and all the times we laughed. Please let the good memories of him get you through this sad time.
