Paul Comeau Obituary

RAYMOND - Paul Denis Comeau Jr., 47, died suddenly on Aug. 25, 2014, at his home in Raymond, from injuries sustained while working in his yard.

He was born Feb. 19, 1967, in Lawrence, Mass., son of Paul Denis Comeau Sr. and Lorraine Marie (Cote) Comeau.

Paul grew up in Pelham, through the fifth grade. The family moved to Hampstead, and Paul graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry. He also attended the Windsor, Conn., State Vocational Technical School for drafting. In 2002, he married Karen D. Fitzgerald. Initially they resided in Candia, and are currently living in Raymond. Professionally, he was a longtime martial arts instructor and held the rank of fifth degree black belt. He taught various forms of martial arts. Paul was a former longtime instructor with Karate International Martial Arts Center in Londonderry and Derry, and was currently employed teaching Ninjutsu with American Dragon in Hooksett. He also worked part-time on weekends with the Park Place Bowling Lanes in Windham.

Paul was a member of the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance. He was also a one-time candidate for N.H. state representative for Rockingham County District 1 consisting of Candia, Deerfield, Northwood, and Nottingham.

His hobbies included camping, playing guitar, composting and gardening, traveling, and playing board games with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing with the family dog, Justice. Paul's greatest passion was his children and loving wife from whom he was inseparable.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Comeau, two sons, Paul Denis Comeau III and Patrick Denis Comeau, and daughter, Kylee Diane Comeau all of Raymond; his parents, Paul and Lorraine Comeau Sr. of East Hampstead; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Deborah Comeau of Auburn; a sister and brother-in-law, Carole (Comeau) May and Charles May of Hampstead, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Hampstead.

Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Paul D. Comeau Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o Citizens Bank, Crystal Ave., Hood Plaza, Derry, NH 03038.

A great teacher, a wonderful father, a loving husband and a best friend. Paul had shared so much and had so much more to give. He was taken far too soon. A beautiful gentle soul.
