Pauline Wenzel Obituary

84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 2017.

Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Genevieve (St. Denis) Charest. Raised and educated in Manchester, Pauline married the love of her life, the late Herbert Wenzel, in 1954 and raised a beautiful family. Pauline dedicated her life to caring for her family. In addition to being a homemaker, Pauline worked alongside Herb at Crawford-Vogel and Wenzel Heating Oil and Herb Wenzel Real Estate. Pauline and Herb shared a love for music and dancing. For many years, Pauline and Herb ran The Baboosic Lake Pavillion in Amherst, NH. During the summertime, the pavillion hosted dances in the evenings and was a local vacation destination.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Pauline's family was paramount in her life. Pauline cherished time spent with her grandchildren, especially during the summers at Baboosic Lake. A snowbird, Pauline and Herb, enjoyed winters in Marco Island, FL, for 30 years. Pauline will be best remembered for her strong faith, gentle heart and dedication to family.

Pauline is survived by two daughters, Debra Rodd and husband Daniel of Amherst, and Tamara Heaton and husband Gregory of Danby, VT; four sons, William Wenzel and wife Jane of Merrimack, Thomas Wenzel of Amherst, Richard Wenzel and wife Christina of Amherst, and Michael Wenzel of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Matthew Wenzel, Jeffrey Wenzel, Alexander Rodd, Tori Wenzel, Madison Heaton, Ashley Heaton, Brody Wenzel, and Carson Wenzel; 3 sisters, Claire LaBonville, Jeannette Bergeron, and Cecile Lessard and husband Mel; brother-in-law Edward Vigneault and many extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Wenzel, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage; her brother, Adrien Charest and wife Janet; and sister, Marie Vigneault; two brothers-in-law Arthur LaBonville and Lucien Bergeron.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Herbert and Pauline at St. Patrick's Church, 34 Amherst St., Milford on Thursday, June 29 at 11:00A.M. So sad to hear of Pauline's passing, she and Herb were my favorite couple since I first met them at Baboosic Lake before they were married, my family still has a camp on the lake and so many great memories of times at The Pavilion with Herb and Pauline, I will never forget the good times.
