Philip St. Laurent Obituary

Philip J. St.Laurent, 73, of Bedford, NH, Passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2025.

Phil was born in Manchester, NH on April 17, 1951, and was the son of Philippe L. St.Laurent and Lucille M. St.Laurent. He spent his childhood growing up in Manchester, NH where he graduated from Memorial High School in 1969.

Phil, worked for Public Service of NH where he dedicated 38 years of service before retiring in 2013. He enjoyed spending his time volunteering with Easter Seals and in youth sports, especially helping to build the Nor-Rock Vikings Pop-Warner football program. His passion was to spend his weekends being the voice of the Vikings, announcing games. His amazing personality and unique ability to entertain a crowd could be heard over the speakers at every home game.

He was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. Those who knew Phil would tell you he had an incredible sense of humor that would fill the room with laughter and another of his most wonderful abilities was to be a mindful listener. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, never meeting a stranger and always leaving a lasting impression of kindness and respect.

He married the love of his life of 52 years Denise V. (Cote) St.Laurent of Manchester, NH on March 31, 1973. Shortly thereafter they settled down in Raymond, NH where they couldn't wait to raise a family of their own. He was always most proud of raising his four boys Michael, Scott, Keith and Kevin.

His most favorite role of all was being known as "Gramps". He deeply cherished his relationships and time spent with all of his nine grandchildren.

Phil will be remembered for always putting his family and friends first. We'll forever imagine hearing him say "Have a happy, happy, happy!"

He is survived by his wife, Denise St.Laurent; sons, Michael St.Laurent (Vicki), Scott St.Laurent (Sarah), Keith St.Laurent (Ashley), and Kevin St.Laurent; a sister, Judith Proulx (Dick); a brother, David St.Laurent (MaryBeth); nine grandchildren, Lielle, Jett, Peyton, Brooke, Brayden, Mya, Zoey, Brody and Blake; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Casidee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Easter Seals of NH, 555 Auburn St, Manchester, NH 03103.

Services: Calling hours are Friday, March 7, 2025, from 3 to 4:30 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.

To Denise, and family
I will always remember the good times we had in our old neighborhood as kids. I will always cherish Thanksgiving football ball games. Started with Breakfast at Belmont Hall, moving on to Sweeney Post, and depending on the weather we would make it to Gill.( As we got older Sweeney was a much better venue and we could watch it on TV.) ln recent years Black Friday breakfast was the way to go. Rest in peace Phil, you are one of the best. Our deepest sympathies to the St Laurent family. Love Roland & Marlene Robidas

Denise, Dave, Judy and family. We were surprised to get word of Phil's passing. Hard to believe it has been so many years since we used to play on Dix Street, Howe Street and both Ed Williams School of Broadcasting alumni. Phil always had a quick wit and smile. Though we are unable to express our condolences in person, you will all be in our thoughts. May the good memories bring you some comfort through these difficult times.

To Denise and the St. Laurent family, my sympathy to all. I worked along side Phil for most of his career. And yes, we could write a book on our experiences as Bill Collectors! We shared many good times and laughs together. My sides still hurt from the laughs. Especially when he thought he was talking to a customer through a door, only to find out he was talking to a parrot . You will most definitely be missed!

Phil possessed the personality of a game show host. He was kind, a great listener and he had a quick wit. I have only pleasant memories of all my interactions over the years and I will guess that most people would feel the same. My sincere condolences to his family. Rest in peace Phil.
