Randy Thomas

Lincoln, NH - Randy Thomas, age 60, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Randy was born in Augusta, Maine, on December 26, 1964. He spent most of his childhood in Augusta and San Diego. After high school, he moved back to Maine and worked in retail, achieving management positions in his early 20s at Service Merchandise and Kay-Bee Toys.

While working at the Frontrunner in Manchester, Randy met his lifetime partner, O.J. Robinson and three months later he moved to Lincoln where he and O.J. spent the past 34 years.

Randy was most notably known as the long-time owner of the Frugal Yankee Clothing Outlet. He later became an at-home hospice care provider.

For the past 10 years, Randy operated several AirBnb units, including a 100-year-old caboose. He was proud of the high standards, unique décor and high ratings, and had achieved "Super Host" status.

Randy was also part of the hospitality team for Atlantis Events for over 20 years. He would spend a week or more on a cruise ship or at a resort hosting hundreds of gay guests. He shared his unique, humorous, free-spirit personality with thousands of people, while visiting nearly 100 countries and making many close long-lasting friendships along the way.

Randy loved to create beautiful things - photography, quilts, artwork, jewelry, furniture. He was also a fabulous cook and enjoyed preparing meals for his friends and family. He was amazingly skilled at bull-whipping and could perform a "Forward-Over" trick on the flying trapeze.

Leaving behind to mourn are O.J. Robinson, his life partner, best friend and soulmate; his mother, Joyce Marsh of Maine; his brother, Kelby Thomas of Arizona; his niece, Emily and two nephews, Alex and Ryan; his special friend, Adam Mozisek; and the entire Robinson family. He was predeceased by his brother, Trevor Thomas.

Randy's ability to engage with all types of people, sharing his vibrant personality and humor, and brightening up anyone's day, made him so well loved. But it is his kind heart and beautiful soul that will be missed by so many.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the 1764 Restaurant (Woodwards Resort) in Lincoln, where guests are encouraged to share stories. A luncheon will follow.
