Rene A. Rheault

MANCHESTER - Rene A. Rheault, 92, of Manchester, died June 14, 2014, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a brief illness.Born in Manchester on Sept. 20, 1921, he was the son of Almeda and Ida (Guevin) Rheault. He was educated in the local school system and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.Prior to retirement, Rene had been employed as a finisher in the dye room at the Wambec Mills for over 30 years. He also worked as a maintenance engineer at Colonial Village for 10 years.Rene was a member of VFW Post 8214 Queen City Memorial, Jutras Post American Legion and the Last Mans Club (World War II Club). In 1953, he won the title of City Bowling Champ of Manchester.He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Theresa C. (Belcourt) Rheault.Family members include his two daughters, Janet Doyon and husband Michel of Manchester and Claudette Adams of Manchester; two sons, Joseph Rheault and wife Donna of Manchester and Paul Rheault and wife Chandra of Deerfield; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Belcourt, Nathan Adams, Shannon Rheault, Megan Bohman, Marissa Doyon and Cari LeBlond; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
