Richard LaFramboise Obituary

Mr. Richard W. "Dick" LaFramboise, 63, of Epsom, passed away suddenly in his sleep, on June 23, 2018 in Minnesota while on a motorcycle trip.

Born in Woonsocket, RI, Dick was the son of the late Frederick and Helen (Buzzell) LaFramboise. He was raised and educated in Rochester and was a graduate of Spaulding High School. He worked in construction for a short time before entering the NH Air National Guard in 1975, which marked the beginning of his 32 year military career.

Dick joined the Exeter Police Department in April 1977 and entered NH Police Standards and Training where he graduated in the 38th Academy in April 1978. Dick began his career with the Merrimack County Sherriff office in January 1981, and retired in June 2001. Dick had 28 years of service in law enforcement and enlisted in the Army National Guard, serving his country from 1983 to 2010, being honorably discharged with the rank of master sergeant.

Dick returned to law enforcement part time with the Chichester Police Department in 2001, and was currently employed with the U.S. Marshal Service of New Hampshire.

Dick was a longtime member of the Humane Lodge number 21 F&AM in Rochester as well as a past member of the Blue Knights and enjoyed motorcycle trips with his best friend, Thomas. Above all, he was a consummate family man, devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved his country, his job and the military.

He was predeceased by his beloved son Eric, who passed away in 2017.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lori (Towne) LaFramboise; his daughter Stephanie Douglass and her husband Brian and their children Bryce and Gabriella of Goffstown; his daughter-in-law, Kayla LaFramboise and her children Harrison and Easton of Center Barnstead; his siblings, Ronald LaFramboise of Texas, Sandra Bacon and her husband John "Jack" of MA and Rebecca Fee of NH; and best friend Thomas.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 6th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Epsom Bible Church, 398 Blackhall Road, Epsom.
