Pelham -- Robert G. Edwards Sr., 81, of Gage Hill Road, died March 22, 2011, at home and surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 9, 1929, to Harry L. Edwards Sr. and Lillian (Wagner) Edwards in Pelham.
He served in the World War II Army of Occupation in Korea. He also served as the building inspector for Pelham
He was predeceased by his first wife, Constance (Genereux) Edwards.
His family includes his wife, Linda (Gay) Edwards of Pelham; daughters Karen Champagne of Sandown, Robin Edwards of Sandown and Brenda Littlefield of Derry; sons Robert Edwards Jr. and Keith Edwards, both of Pelham; two step-children, Erica Kent of Bristow, Va., and Michael Bearer of Pelham; 18 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers Leonard C. Edwards of Pelham and Harry L. Edwards Jr. of Goffstown; sister Patricia Lapoint of Beverly Hills, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at Goundrey and Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Salem. Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at Pelham Congregational Church, 3 Main St., Pelham. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery, Pelham. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Pelham Congregational Church.
