Roger Groleau Obituary

Roger Germain Groleau, 84, of Manchester, N.H., passed away on Nov. 26, 2023, in Venice, Florida, after a short illness.

Born on July 14, 1939, in Manchester, Roger was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Roger touched the lives of many as an elementary school teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Roger's passion for sports led him to become a tennis and soccer coach, further influencing and inspiring young athletes.

Roger was a sports enthusiast, whether it was watching Sunday Night Football or actively participating in activities such as golf, hiking, bicycling, tennis, and kayaking. Roger also enjoyed friendly games of poker and cribbage, as well as relaxing moments soaking and floating with his friends. He enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. Roger found solace in the ocean and cherished watching sunsets at the beach.

Roger is survived by his loving sons Geoffrey and Brett, daughter-in-law Julie, grandchildren Alanna and Eric, and two sisters, Georgette Gelinas and Doris Cote. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rolande Pinsonneault.

According to Roger's wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Instead, his immediate family will scatter his ashes at sea.

In remembrance of Roger, contributions can be made by planting a tree in his memory through the Arbor Day Foundation.

Roger will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Heck of a good guy! He had big shoes to fill, Walter's, and did a good job in a challenging environment. We played tennis and squash and had fun! Happy trails.

Roger was s good friend and classmate at KSC. We met freshman year when we were both in the cast of a play. We remained friends all through college. I found myself in Manchester many years later ..To my surprise and delight, I found myself working at the school where Roger was Principal. He was a great guy to work with as well as a good friend. I´m truly saddened to hear of his passing
