Ronald Lacey Obituary

Ronald E. Lacey, Jr., 78, of Auburn, NH, died August 3, 2024, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family, after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester, NH on October 18, 1945, he was the son of Ronald E. Lacey, Sr. and Jane (Clement) Lacey. He was raised and resided in Manchester before moving to Auburn in 1977.

He graduated from Manchester High School Central, Class of 1963.

Ronald proudly served with the United States Marine Corps.

Until his retirement, he was a leasing manager with Ryder Trucks for many years.

Devoted to his faith, he was a communicant of St. Peter Church, Auburn. He held membership with the Knights of Columbus.

Ronald was an avid golfer. He enjoyed reading and had an unending interest in history. He will be remembered for his selfless, generous, and caring ways. A kind gentleman, Ronald loved babies and animals. His family was a source of great joy to him, and he was especially fond of his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, who brought him endless pride and joy. He loved his family dearly and always emphasized the importance of family love and unity. His marriage of fifty-seven years was filled with faith, love, and compassion for others. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, as he left an indelible mark on every single life that he touched. Ronald will be greatly missed, but his influence will endure as his family continues in the light of his image.

Family members include his beloved wife of fifty-seven years, Muriel (Bernard) Lacey; a daughter, Joanna Menard and her husband, Shawn, of Hooksett; a son, Sean Lacey of Manchester; six grandchildren, Meghan and her husband, Joe, Cameron, Shannon, Trevor, Adriana, and Shawn; a great-granddaughter, Charlot; two sisters, Bonita Wenzel of FL and Muriel Labrie of SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: There are no calling hours.

The funeral will be held Monday, August 12, 2024, was a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Road, Auburn, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St # 104, Manchester, NH 03101 or www.heart.org.
