Ruth Meader Obituary
She was born July 15, 1944 in Strafford, NH the daughter of the late Clyde and Leola Gray.
She was a graduate of Austin Cate Academy and lifelong resident of this area. Ruth was instrumental with her husband in the formation of Budel Construction Corporation, Meader Supply Corporation, and Meader's Heritage Farm and their Belgian Horses. She was very well known and respected by many for her extensive knowledge of NH antiques and history. Ruth especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Members of her family include her husband of 55 years, Leon "Bud" Meader; son Robert "Bob" and wife Polly Meader; daughter, Lorraine and husband Dana Rines all of Rochester, Linda and husband Dean Beachy of Ohio; grandchildren, Christine Meader and husband John Langley, Elizabeth Meader, Kimberly Meader, Heather Meader, Samuel and wife Cati Rines, Daniel and wife Paige Rines, Robert Beachy, Benjamin Beachy, David Beachy, Steven Beachy; 1 great grandchild Eleanor Rines; sister, Joyce Gray of Virginia and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by Phillip Gray of Massachusetts.
Family and friends may visit Sunday August 21, 2016 from 3 - 4 PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH.
A memorial service will follow at 4PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Meader Family Burying Ground in Rochester, NH.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Maine Wilderness Watershed Trust, P.O. Box 5660, Augusta, ME. 04332-5660.

I'm so sorry for your tragic loss. Ruth spent time with me a few years ago in researching our old house and the possibility that it was the, "first Meader house." She was incredibly kind and a memorable lady. So sad.

At Pierce Pond when you catch a remarkable fish you have what they call a board fish. Such a fish is inscribed on a board, listing its attributes and yes, Ruth has caught such a trophy.
If God has such a system then Ruth's name will be inscribed as the top catch!
