Shawn H. Mikell

Epping - Shawn H. Mikell, 42, of Epping died peacefully on May 5, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Exeter on May 26, 1971, the youngest son of Eugene "Mike" and Rita (Talbot) Mikell.Shawn was a 1990 graduate of Epping High School and worked for many years with his father at Mikell and Son, Inc. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding anything with wheels. He was also a member of the Dustbusters Motorcycle Club of Portsmouth.In addition to his parents of Epping, Shawn is survived by his wife of 16 years, Shannon (Valentine) Mikell; his dear son and greatest joy in life, Tyler Mikell; his sister, Donna Witham, and her husband, Peter, of Newmarket; his brothers, Charles Mikell and his wife, Jennifer, of Deerfield, Bruce Mikell of Florida, Eugene Mikell and his wife, Pamela, of Tennessee, Scott Russell of Strafford and Jason Mikell of California; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Valerie Valentine; and his brother-in-law, Chad Valentine.Shawn also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who all were Shawn's favorite, as well as many aunts, uncles and friends..

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday, May 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping.
