Thomas Keller Obituary

NASHUA - Thomas Gordon Keller died at his home in Nashua on Oct. 21, 2011, his 56th birthday. By his side were several family members, many of whom had helped care for Tom through his brief, but intense, struggle with cancer.

Tom was born on Oct. 21, 1955, on Long Island, N.Y. He was the son of the late Robert and Margret Mary Keller.

After moving to Nashua in 1976, Tom filled his life with many diverse interests, among them being his work in the construction and custom carpentry business and his work with creating and restoring cars. Along with his friend Buddy Bean, Tom helped build the Blind Man's Bluff series of cars and ran his own business, Legends Rods and Performance.

His greatest passion, however, was his love of music, especially the Blues. Tom was an accomplished musician, playing drums, percussion and bass guitar. He thoroughly enjoyed performing locally with various bands. Tom's true spirit soared while jamming with family and friends. He carried his unique sense of humor with him each and every day.

Tom and his wife, Sandra (Strycharz), were married on Oct. 7, 1997. The joining of their two families brought them endless joy.

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his sons, Justin Keller and his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Mikayla and Kalib, of Laconia; and Ryan Keller and his son, Korbin Baker, of Hudson; "daddy's girls" include, Morgan Ramsey and her husband, Matthew, and their children, Thomas and Mary of Dickinson, N.D., and Cortney Medeiros and her husband, John Jr., and "Chloe" of Manchester; his step-daughters, Jennifer (Cates) Hall and her husband, Michael, and their daughters, Alexandrea and Samantha of Hollis, Kim (Cates) Bull and her husband, John, and their sons, Jonathan and Matthew of Nashua, and Kristin (Cates) Lyle and her husband, Michael, and their son, Travis, of Butler, N.J. Tom is also survived by his sister, Gail Proven and her husband, Bruce, and their sons, Jeremy Smith and John Bailargeon. Last, but not least, Tom leaves behind his beloved cat, Lexie. Tom will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

.

SERVICES: A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Oct. 30, 2011, at Strange Brew, Market Street, Manchester, from noon until 4 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
