Timothy Frenette Obituary

Timothy Scott Frenette of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the age of 65 after bravely battling cancer.

Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on March 13, 1959, Tim was the fourth and youngest child of the late Lawrence "Larry" Frenette and Margaret "Peggy" Frenette. He was raised in West Springfield, Massachusetts and graduated from West Springfield High School in 1977. For several years, Tim lived in Keene, New Hampshire where he bartended at the Han Dynasty.

Tim eventually moved to Manchester, New Hampshire where he settled down to raise his children. In Manchester, he was known as a bartender at the Yee Dynasty and had previously worked at the Yard Restaurant. He also pursued tiling and opened "Larry's Country Store and Deli" in honor of his father. Tim eventually took a position at New England Document Systems in Manchester where he met his wife, Fay.

In his youth, Tim was a talented soccer player and continued to be passionate about the sport throughout his life. He also developed a love for writing and spent time working for "The Republican" newspaper in Springfield, Massachusetts. Tim was a history buff and enjoyed learning about and discussing historical subjects with others. He was also a lover of music and was a lifelong fan of the Beatles and many other classic rock and blues artists. One of Tim's greatest talents was his cooking. He showed his love for others through the outstanding meals that he cooked for them. Tim absolutely loved Christmas which he looked forward to celebrating year-round. As a proud Irish American, he was known for his great appreciation for Irish culture and could often be seen donning one of his many scally caps. Tim was also known for his witty and often cheeky sense of humor which never failed to earn a laugh.

Above all else, Tim loved his family. He was deeply in love with his wife and absolutely adored his children. Tim will be remembered as a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend who was always happiest when he was spending time with his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tim is survived by his wife Fay, his son Daley, his daughter Taylor, his sister Ellen, his brother Michael, his sister-in-law Jody, his brother-in-law Roger, his sister-in-law Donna, his stepson Scotty, his stepdaughter Kim, and four step-grandchildren.

Tim was predeceased by his parents Larry and Peggy and his sister Anne.

A private celebration of Tim's life will be held at a later date.

Donations in Tim's memory can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Long ago I would frequent the Yee with my coworkers to play pool and eat weekly. Tim became a friend to all of us. He was a wonderful person, always kind and polite to everyone he met. I never forgot about him. He made a big impression on me because he was so kind. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. May he rest easy.
