Veronica F. "Vicky" Leighton

1952 - 2021

Veronica Frenette Leighton fondly known as "Vicky", 69, passed away November 29, 2021 at her home in Nottingham, NH after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 23, 1952 in Nashua, NH, daughter of the late Eugene J. Frenette and Rita Theresa (Nadeau) Frenette.

Vicky grew up in Nashua, NH and she was one of 15 children born in her family. The family moved to Londonderry, NH and lived there for 22 years. On September 29, 1979, she married the love of her life, Brian G. Leighton. They lived in Raymond, NH for 7 years and had resided in Nottingham, NH for the past 30 years. Vicky was a devoted wife and homemaker to Brian. She would often be found outdoors working around the yard planting trees, running her John Deere diesel tractor, doing snow removal and moving hay bails. Vicky also was very fond of animals and through the years had different pets including a horse, miniature donkey, chickens and 5 Chow-Chow dogs. She and Brian actively attended church for the past 20 years at New Life in Raymond, NH.

She was predeceased by 3 siblings, Dianna Frenette, Gienne Noble and Baby Albert.

Vicky is survived by her devoted husband, Brian G. Leighton, 5 sisters, Anita Leighton, Cynthia Nickerson, Fae Frenette, Violet Trombley, Annette Hanna, 6 brothers, Albert, Henry, Eugene, Dana, Mannette and Roger Frenette.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at New Life Church, 84 Nottingham Rd., Raymond, NH.

Burial will follow in the New North Cemetery, Nottingham, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the New Life Church.
