Woodrow McDonald Obituary
Woody was born January 30, 1921 in Manchester, NH, a son of Samuel & Sadie (Bean) McDonald and had been a lifelong resident of this community.
Prior to retirement, Woody was employed with Manchester Water Works for 38 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack.
Woody was very much an animal lover, however, his family was at the center of his life.
Family includes his beloved wife of 17 years, Esther McDonald; one son, Woody McDonald and his wife, Bonnie; one step-daughter, Monica Marchand and her husband, Eric; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Woody was pre-deceased by his wife of 54 years, Hazel McDonald.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Saturday, April 23, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine Street, corner of Harrison Street in Manchester. Graveside Service will follow at 12 p.m. at Holbrook Cemetery in Candia, NH.
