Zoitsa Tzimopoulos Obituary

MANCHESTER - Zoitsa Moutsioulis Tzimopoulos, 92, died Sept. 21, 2011, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack.

She was born on July 20, 1919, in Fourka, Greece, a daughter of John and Agorou (Sarmaniote) Mokas, and was a Manchester resident for many years.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Tzimopoulos was employed with several of the Manchester mills.

She was a longtime active member of the Anagenesis Ladies Society, Tri-Ortho Seniors and Fourka Women's Society.

Family was the center of Mrs. Tzimopoulos' life.

Family includes one son, Elias "Lee" Moutsioulis; one daughter, Despina "Poppy" Tsoutsas; two grandchildren, Alexandra Tsoutsas and George Tsoutas; two stepsons, Nicholas Tzimopoulos and the late George Tzimopoulos; and two stepdaughters, Roula Mitsopoulos and Aglaia Mantzoufas; many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Tzimopoulos was predeceased by her first husband, George Moutsioulis; her second husband, James Tzimopoulos; and her brother, George Mokas.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester. A funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.

Memorial donations may be made to St. George Cathedral, 650 Hanover St., Manchester 03104.
