ST. PARIS - Christopher David Jent, age 46, of St. Paris, Ohio unexpectedly passed away on Aug. 31, 2022 in his home.
Born on March 3, 1976 in Springfield, Ohio, Chris was a son of Carl Eugene Jent of Medway and Victoria (Massie) and Kenneth Rader of Terre Haute, who survive.
In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his wife Shannon (Hassler) Jent, his two children Austin Jent and Andrea Jent, and grandson, Hunter Nesbitt all of St. Paris; his brother, Jesse (Cynthia) Jent of Dayton; maternal grandmother, Adah L Massie of New Carlisle and his uncle Tom (Patty) Massie of Franklin. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Massie, and his paternal grandparents, Allie and Katherine Jent.
Chris was a 1994 graduate of Graham High School. He was the owner of Jent Mechanical.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the ATKINS-SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME, 216 S. Springfield Street, St. Paris. Burial will follow in the Terre Haute Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Your family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. He was awesome to work with and a good man. I liked to give him a hard time and he had no problem giving it back. He will be missed.
