Drue LeMasters Obituary
CABLE – Drue Alan LeMasters, 29 of Cable, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, due to an auto accident.
He was born March 30, 1994 in Springfield, Ohio, to Rick and April (Bailey) LeMasters. Drue was a 2012 graduate of Triad High School. Following high school, he continued his education at Clark State, where he earned degrees in Golf Course Maintenance and Business. Drue was an avid golfer and qualified for Districts in high school and led Clark State's golf team in average both years he played for them.
Drue was a well-rounded young man who also enjoyed cooking and smoking for holidays and cookouts. In his free time, he enjoyed watching anime TV shows and hanging out with friends at local breweries. In his younger years, he was a member of the Wascally Wabbits 4-H club for 10 years. He worked at East Liberty Auto Plant, weld 2nd shift. Drue will be sadly missed by many.
Drue is survived by his parents, Rick and April LeMasters; his grandparents, Larry and Valerie LeMasters, and Jerry and Roxann Bailey; special friends, Shannon Bodey and Mickey Johnson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Drue is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Arthur and Mary Williams, Ruth Bailey, Boyd and Armatha LeMasters and Clifford and Elizabeth Fyffe.
Memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana with Pastor Jordan Millice officiating. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service. Live Stream will be available on the Vernon Funeral Home Facebook page starting at 5:55 p.m.
Per the family's request, please dress casually, Ohio State or Bengals gear encouraged.
A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. on March 30, 2024 for Drue's 30th birthday at Woodland Golf Club, 4900 Swisher Rd., Cable, Ohio 43009.
Drue had a love for animals. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Barely Used Pets, 844 Jackson Hill Rd., Urbana, Ohio 43078 or PAWS Animal Shelter, 1535 US-36, Urbana, Ohio 43078.
