WOODSTOCK – Hazel L. Lincoln, 89 of Woodstock, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 in Vancrest of Urbana.
Hazel was born on Nov. 29, 1935 in Union County, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Esther (Fry) Hinderer.
Hazel lived a fulfilling and vibrant life, retiring after 22 years of dedicated service to the Ohio Reformatory for Women. She was an active member of the Woodstock community, serving as the treasurer for the village and a member of the Euchre Club. Hazel had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending her time fishing and camping at Lake Erie, where she created cherished memories. Alongside her partner Nick, she traveled extensively across the United States, embracing new adventures. At home, Hazel found peace and joy in crocheting, a craft she enjoyed immensely. Above all, she loved watching her grandchildren participate in sports, proudly cheering them on as they made their own marks in the world.
Hazel is survived by her daughters, Susan (Mark) Crowder, Mary (John) Thomas, Nancy (Steve) Harbold; grandchildren, Nathan (Jenny) Thomas, Jeff Thomas (Chantel Myers), Andrew Thomas (Molly McGuire), Ashley (Matthew) McIntosh, Jennifer (Larry) Lynch, David (Melanie) Harbold; great-grandchildren, Colton, Kendall, Camryn, Ty, Rylie and Blayk Thomas, Kase, Kynslie, Kadon and Kole McIntosh, Jacob and Jackson Lynch, Wyatt Harbold and Baby H on the way; sister, Mary Katherine Thompson of Lewis Center; sister-in-law, Edna Hinderer and 17 nieces and nephews.
Hazel is preceded in death by her dear husband of 67 years Warren "Nick" Lincoln; her parents; Baby Girl Thomas; sisters, M. Joan (Don) Coe, Stella (Pete) Hughes, Donna Ruth Hinderer, Doris (Jesse) Fields and Don Hinderer.
