RAYMOND, Ohio – Helen Marie Marshall, 84 of Raymond, Ohio, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 in Belle Springs Nursing Home.
Helen was born at home on Oct. 21, 1940 in North Lewisburg to the late John and Lucy Jenkins. She married the love of her life, John Allen Marshall, on Jan. 25, 1964.
Helen was a woman of great faith, kindness, and joy. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and especially her great-grandbabies, whose laughter and love brought her immeasurable happiness. Her warm presence and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A lifelong lover of the simple pleasures in life, Helen found joy in many things. She had a passion for coloring. She was also a devoted listener of gospel music and could often be found singing along to the soulful melodies that filled her home. She was a devout member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union. Her love for the Word of God was evident in her dedication to studying the Bible and regularly watching church sermons. Her faith and trust in God were an inspiration to all who knew her.
She loved helping others. For many years, she fostered children, and her door was always open to those in need. She had a talent for cooking and baking. Helen would always invite people over for dinner and loved to bake with her great-grandchildren. Helen's infectious sense of humor and playful spirit were also a big part of who she was – she enjoyed picking on people in the most lighthearted way, always knowing how to make others smile and brighten their day.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Rosanna Marshall; son, John (Royetta) Marshall Jr.; former son-in-law, Robert Tussing; grandchildren, Kenny (Tracer) Rose Jr., Austin (Maria) Tussing, John Marshall III, Jon (Cearia) Siders, Aaron (Destiney) Siders; great-grandchildren, Alexandria Marie, Jaxon, Maddox, Jayden, Grayson, and Ivory; sister, Dorothy (Jenkins) Smith; brother, Harold Jenkins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
